is it possible to allow other people to sell through your online shop for example i have a large website that has a large audience and i want to create a shop that would bring small local business together so they could give me their details and then whenever someone buys one of their products on my shop they would automatically be paid through pay pal and would receive the invoice from which they would then post the product

Hi Justin,

This is not a feature that could be handled automatically. One issue is that you can only have one PayPal account per store so the communication and acknowledgement would always go to the Store holders ebay account.

Of course as the store holder you could forward on the order. You could probably use a clever logic within the SKU and have a "smart" decoder that would then forward the PayPal request on. This would require a script or similar to be developed by people who understand the Online Store. There are commercial developers who may help and their contact is on ecwid.com. Expensive I think.

One thing about a system like this and a single PayPal account in effect is that if any provider wasn't attentive or lost the plot that would reflect on your payPal account and can even cause a lock down if there's delinquency.
