Yola Online Store - Shipping

I'm slowing figuring out how the shipping section of the online store works. An in-depth tutorial (or link to one) would be handy...?

In the meantime, when you create your shipping zones: if you select a country, do you also have to select all the states for that country, or are they automatically accepted by default? eg I create an international shipping zone called Zone 1 which is associated with New Zealand only. Do I ignore the states & regions tabs if I want Zone 1 to apply to all of New Zealand?

Also, I haven't yet found where I'm able to set a base shipping rate per destination Zone/State prior to parcel weight multipliers being applied. ??

Cheers

If you only state the country then all states are included by default and have the same shipping charge.

If you need different rates per State then you must specify the individual States and the shipping rate relevant for that that. Here is the Ecwid explantion of zones usage.Destination zones. I think the example of Postal Codes would be relevant for Australia?

OK, that answers my first question. I just read it on ecwid too. So that makes sense.

For my 2nd question, the answer appears via "New Shipping Method". That's where my newly created zones now appear. So I should now be able to set different base shipping rates by weight per region. eg, I'm able to charge more $ to ship the same weight item to Russia than USA.

Starting to look like it might work now...
Thanks.
