Yola rejects every credit card or PayPal account I throw at them! How do I buy a domain from them???

I've been trying to buy a custom domain from Yola for quite a while now and still no luck...

1. Tried to buy using my current (and valid credit card) many times.. each time the feedback form had a problem with the account number/ CVV

2. Sent 2 mails to Yola..
a) First reply said that there was problem with the card, and I should get a new one.
b) Second reply said do it through PayPal (the last resort, in my books)

Following the advice of both mails, I a) called my bank to issue me with a new card and b) opened a PayPal account....

Once the new card come and I verify it with PayPal.. I go back to Yola..

3. Try with the new card repeatedly. No luck again..

4. Try with the verified PayPal account. Still Yola rejected it!!!!??

I then tried a couple of times (as this was my last option) and THEN PayPal slap a 'Limitation' access on my account, because me failing to give money to Yola was deemed too 'suspicious" by PayPal!

Now I've got to un-restrict myself from PayPal (so far an impossible task obviously due to the lack of a 'bad purchase'/ automated emails/ call centre voice recordings and no humans for one to deal with) or find a 3rd option!

Does anyone know of a third option? Telegram? Courier Pigeon? Where is the Yola office? South Africa? Can I just fly over and give it to them???

Or can anyone recommend another site (eg. GoDaddy) where I can just give them my money and get a 'custom domain' in peace

Hi Rob,

I am sorry to hear of the trouble you have gone through while trying to purchase a custom domain, I know this can be frustrating. When trying to purchase via PayPal, did you enter your credit card information? I did replicate the error while paying on the Yola payments screen but was able to process my payment using the PayPal option and entering my credit card information.

Would you be able to share the exact error message you are seeing at PayPal? This will allow us to investigate further with you.

Kind Regards,
Brianna

Hi Brianna,
After going through the PayPal route, I got a pop-up window wanting me to log into PayPal.. it was there that I got shot down.
As with the account no./ CVV being rejected in the other route, the problem with the PayPal page was the password (to my memory, that day).
Problem is, I'm unable to replicate the error now, as I have the new issue with PayPal and the 'Limited access' that they slapped on my account, because of the amount of times I tried to log in..
So far, trying to get that lifted has been impossible, as I don't see a direct way to contact PayPal... I'm going around in circles on their site figuring out how to talk to a person (this I kinda expected from PayPal anyway, hence wanting to do this via a credit card).
If you know of any way to mail a PayPal rep. directly, please let me know! :)
The PayPal route is a dead-end.. what about the credit card route?
Why would the Yola web form reject two different cards? I spoke with my credit card company and they say, in all probability the Yola forms are 'broken'... As the company rep. explained, If the form is not 'broken', then the credit card company is sending out cards with incorrect information on them... Repeatedly.

Hmmm, fair point. PayPal accepted the same card afterall.

Do you keep server logs to trace the above problems?

Hi Rob,

We do keep logs, and in order for me to investigate would you be able to email me your payment details? From here I will try and check your attempts so that we can figure out what is going wrong.

You mention that you have already sent emails us emails about your problem, and I apologize that I have to ask you to do this again, but I would prefer not to discuss your personal details on the forum.

If you could mark the email for my attention that will help me get to faster!

Apologies for the inconvenience, and I hope to resolve this for you ASAP.

Regards,
Jackie

Hi Rob,

We have just been notified that one of our customers based in India has successfully made a payment to Yola using the credit card option by using EntroPay.

EntroPay creates a virtual Visa card that is linked to your credit card / debit card: https://www.entropay.com

This could be an option that may be worth trying? Please let me know if you do give this a go, as your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jackie
