Do you think Yola should have phpMyAdmin? Or MySQL online databases for users (Specifically Yola Silver users) To me I definitely think so!

This would be of benefit to some users but editing the PHP scripts could pose a security risk to Yola and this is why they have not allowed it yet.

It would be helpful but there are always workarounds!

A Yola employee will probably add more detail here!

Hi pianoisforliving

Andi has summed it up in a nutshell (thanks Andi!). I understand why you might need to have a database and scripting on your site, but unfortunately, it is not something that we offer.

One of the reasons we do not offer scripting languages such as PHP on Yola is because it needs constant interaction between the files and our hosting servers. This could cause some instability and poses a security threat, as Andi mentioned. We want to ensure that the sites we host are secure and that our servers are not exposed to harmful scripts that might be added if we allow scripting languages.

I hope you understand our reasoning behind this decision. Can you tell us what it is that you would like to use the database and PHP for? We may be able to suggest alternatives to you.

Thank you
