Yola up-time please?

My website is not viewable by other people?? I worked all day on my slideshow and it was working perfectly. Now, I am seeing only 3 of the 10 or 12 photos I have on there. Also, my sister and neighbor are both trying to view my page and having the same problem. There is nothing wrong with their computers either. It just so happens that my sister just had hers cleaned and taken care of in the shop(she does that about every 6 months)and my neighbor has a brand new computer with high-speed internet she just got 1 month ago.

I need a really straight, honest answer. I think that Yola has many fine qualities, especially nice people and, it is free except for the 20 I paid for a domain name here. But my site is going to be about my "living" and I have to have the site working 99% of the time(minus updating, backup, whatever). So I need to know the numbers/percentages of uptime if someone would give me that Ok?? Thank you much, Denise

Ok, I see it is not updating. I've tried 3 times in a row now and yes, my cache is cleared.

Hi Denise

The problem is not with the Yola "up-time" but you have incorrectly implemented your code.

This is what you did:
"resources/images/sunset.jpg","http://www.dynamicdrive.com",

"resources/images/mountains.jpg","http://www.javascriptkit.com",

"resources/images/perpetua.jpg","", //this slide isn't linked

"resources/images/humbug.jpg","http://www.codingforums.com","resourc..." // NOTE No comma after last line

);

A comma is needed after "this slide isn't linked"

Then, you need to break up each line after that.. they should not be all on one line and you forgot the "".

It should look like
"resources/images/humbug.jpg","http://www.codingforums.com",
"resources/images/banners/desert.jpg","",
"resources/images/lilacs.jpg","",
"resources/images/tablerock.jpg","",

etc....

Can you try fixing those errors and see if this makes any difference.

Did Littleus' answer solve your problem, Denise?

Yola has a very good record of uptime. When something does go down, the customer's published sites are rarely affected and the engineers work to restore funtionality as quickly as possible.

I know that the engineering team will get out of bed at 2am if they receive notification that there are problems. We work our hardest to keep Yola functioning smoothly.

Hi Denise

Littleus is correct - this is not an uptime issue as we are not experiencing technical problems at this time.

But since you asked, I want to give you a very straight, specific answer. Yola consistently provides better than 99% uptime for all our hosted sites.

Here is a response by our VP of Engineering and one of our system and service engineers to a similar question that you might like to read: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/wha...

Also, as Ruth has mentioned, our services are monitored 24/7 with people always on standby to take emergency action if needed. Unlike other companies where you get put on hold when you try to phone and find out what is going on with your site, with Yola you can always get through! We post all information related to outages right here in this forum. Which means you know as soon as we know, and everyone gets the same information at the same time!

Ok Monique, I so appreciate you sharing that. I have so little and what I do have going, with my website, is all I have that will stand between me a homeless shelter. That sounds dramatic I know but that is my "life" situation. I have the use of the internet, a good pc I bought before the "crash" and yes, I tend to get a little frightened at times. That bit of reasurrance you sent me means a lot and I want to thank you. I just hope that I can be of service here on the forums and share all I am learning with others that I know will be joining:) I will be doing my part to spread the good news about Yola;)
