Hey Yola!

I have some exciting news. I just went to the Yola site builder on my iPhone and it works good! Some people have been saying that Yola doesn't work on the iPad and iPhone, but it does. If it works on iPhone then it works on iPad. Although I can't upload files because the up loader uses flash, I can still edit my site! Here are a couple of screen shots I took from my iPhone:

Just go to Safari and login to Yola like you usually do and it actually works! :)

Hi Nathan

Thanks for testing this on your phone!

Just to reiterate, you will have limited usability of your Sitebuilder on your smartphone or iPad. However, because of the Flash requirement, there will be some things you will not be able to do.

Yeah, there's some stuff that I can't do, but, I'm glad I can still change some stuff and change stuff around a little. I really wish Apple would allow Flash on Safari! :)

Awesome, I'll be looking forward to see how it looks on an iPad since I don't have an iPad of my own :)

That's so cool! One question, since the screen of the iphone is so small, is Yola really functional enough to use on the iphone?

Hey Kevin

The iPhone actually zooms out the website and qhen you turn it to landscape mode it turns re screen and makes it much wider. It works good, and you can use the "pinch-to-zoom" feature to zoom in and out. That's what i do. It's pretty cool.

Sincerely,
Nathan

The one thing I find I can't do ( and it drives me crazy ) - I take my iphone and ipad when I go to USA regularly. I LOVE to update my personal blog for folks to see at home when I am away. Although Yola works fine on both, I just can't add photos, because I cant rename them on my ipad or iphone, so they always have the same name. When I go to add them to my Yola blog, it says " Theres already a file with this name, do you want to delete it? ". Of course I dont want to delete it. If I click YES, it will add the photo no problem - but then I lose the previously added photo.  If it wern't for this single problem, Yola would be perfect. If I could change the name 0f the file somehow before adding, that would be great. Who wants to fly transatlantic with a bulky laptop etc with them if they already have the compact ipad or phone?

Hi Sally,

That does sound frustrating. Unfortunately uploading images via iPhone or iPad is not a supported feature at this time so I'm afraid we can't offer a solution for you. I wish we had better news for you. :(
