everytime I change something in my site I get the "congratulations!" message. sometimes I just proofread something and changed one letter. Congratulations! sometimes I try hard to do something and fail, Congratulations!
why overstate? my 18 year old daughter has just finished highschool successfully, got her driving licence, left her mother's home, went to the big city, found a job, is looking for an apartment, registering to a dance studio, OK, CONGRATULATIONS!,
but for updating my site? every single time? is that Yola style?
congratulations! your message has been posted on the Yola forum!
congratulations! nobody agrees with you!
congratulations! you have received a polite letter telling you you are clever or dumb/
same with "we already miss you". what bulshit: an automatic pixel pattern tells me something so intimate and exciting: someone misses ME! that's rare! and then I have to remind myself. ooooops.
I only can hope you will not chage the welcome message to Hello Eli! where have you been, and how are you doing?
otherwise I am really happy with yola.

Hi Eli

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you like Yola and that you are mostly happy. Having said that, we are sorry that you find some of the copy on our website and in the sitebuilder annoying. It is challenging to strike the right tone, and ensure that people reading it will take our messaging in the spirit that it is intended. We are committed to our customer's success and really want to express our encouragement and pleasure every time someone takes a successful action towards developing their website. Maybe some people experience this as overdone or insincere, although that is not our intention at all.

I will pass your feedback on to our Product team as I know they will be receptive and are always looking for ways to improve our messaging.

No offense taken at all, I assure you! If our customers don't give us feedback like this, how will we know? We appreciate all feedback, be it negative or positive, or a mixture of the two! Thanks for sharing your views openly. We hope you continue to enjoy developing your sites.
