First I would like to start of by saying Yola is a very good website hosting site. Although they do have flaws in which other sites better them on, I feel they have a lot to offer. I feel that yola should however invest in adding a check box to there link box that would allow your links to be opened on another tab/page. I know of a website host that I have used in the past have this alone with building a site for free for you and it is ad free. But who they are is not important. The main point is, please add a check box to your links page (The box where you add links to other websites, pages, etc.) that will allow us to send the visitor to another tab/page so they don't leave our website. This is extremely important if someone is building a business website as well. Once again Yola is a great all around system, but much work is needed to improve there services. And one last thing.... If you are going to charge for packages, please add some fun cool things to them, (Video players and music players are not such a great product to push sense we now have youtube and other options to embed these types of things.)

Hey NightAge ... Yola is doing so many things right ... within time they will leave all the competition in their dust.

keep looking at the competition ... as I am sure they are watching Yola with concern.

My main point is not about there competition. Just the main point in adding new things and things that are very helpful! Sorry for your misunderstanding. Have a great day!

Hi nightage.gb,

Current thinking in web usability circles is that links that open in a new window are a bad idea for a number of reasons. See: Beware of Opening Links in a New Window, for a great article by a leading expert in the field.

However if this is still something you'd like to do it can be achieved with some custom HTML.

Here are the steps:

1. Add text using the Text Widget.
2. Select the text that you want the link and then click "insert link" on the text editing toolbar.
3. Create your link to your chosen URL as normal, click "OK".
4. Then click "HTML" - the last icon on the text editing toolbar.
5. You will see the code that looks like this for your link (I have used the text "Visit Wikipedia to see more information", with the link being on Wikipedia:
Visit Wikipedia to see more information
All you need to do is add in target="blank" as show below:
Visit Wikipedia to see more information
Your link will then open in a new tab or window, depending on what browser your visitor is using.
