Hi. I'm on 'Silver' yet my URL still appears as 'gatehouseglass.yolasite.com'. I thought Silver got rid of the 'Yolasite' bit??

Hi Stained Glass Man,

The .yolasite.com domains are sub domains. If you want your own custom domain without the "yolasite.com" in it, just use the custom domain credit in your Yola Silver account to register a custom domain.

Please see this tutorial on registering a custom domain name: Buying your own domain from Yola. When you register it you won't need to pay anything since a domain credit comes with Yola Silver.

Hi Nathan, There's no domain credits in recent purchases of Silver. I think that this has stopped since earlier additions. If not the case let me know because Yola owe me a domain :)

Oh there isn't? Wow, never knew that. How do Yola Silver members get domains then when they purchase Yola Silver?

It's a separate purchase as I understand it. You can purchase them within My Yola I think.

I'm a cheapskate. Purchase my domains from the lowest sleezy offer. (GD)

Oh, ok. I'm surprised they don't have a domain credit any more since it costs $99.99/yr or $9.95/month (however they do payments) instead of the other fee it use to be. I realize that the site builder has much more features than it use to but I think a domain credit should still be included.

.....and ideally in retrospect also.

Just wanted to clarify that Gop is correct, domain credits are no longer included in Yola Silver. We’ve split domain and hosting packages and lowered our domain prices substantially. This means that customers can buy new domains more affordably and also renew existing domains at the new prices. In our previous model, domains were more expensive as hosting was bundled with it. This made it cost prohibitive for members who wanted to own multiple domains.
