Hi.

I am having big problems with my Yolasitebuilder.

As soon as I enter it and I start working on one of my sites, I get the message:
your session has expired. Please login again to renew it

Why??

Hi Francesco,

I noticed, from your screenshot, that the Sitebuilder is open in an Incognito tab. The reason for Sitebuilder timing out after 30 seconds, is due it being unable to place the required cookies on your machine, when opened in an Incognito tab. You should find that the problem resolves itself when using the Yola Sitebuilder in a normal tab.

Please let us know if your problem persists.

Hi.

The problem persists also in a normal tab of Google Chrome.

Hi Francesco, have you tried using another browser, just for reference? My reason for asking, is due to me having tested your Sitebuilder in Chrome, FireFox and Edge and not being able to replicate what you're experiencing. This leads me to believe that the problem may be local to your device or your browser's configuration.

Something on your system or within your browser is causing Sitebuilder to fail authentication and this is what's causing the timeout. Can I recommend that you start by disabling any browser plugins and addons that you may have, to see if that helps?

Hi Francois,

Ok, I will try with other browsers.
In the meanwhile, could you please remove the screenshots you posted, as they show the full email address I use to access my yolasitebuilder.....

Thanks

Screenshots removed and reposted my reply as a comment (without screenshots), so we can keep track of this.

Hi.

I confirm it's just a Google Chrome issue. My yolasitebuilder is accessible in Firefox.

I'll try to see what's the problem with google chrome

Now Yolasitebuilder is working in Google Chrome as well, but I have not changed any settings in Google Chrome, so I guess this is a temporary problem of Yolasitebuilder, and not the browser...

Same, same but a bit different. I was using FireFox. Tried re-loging in but stalled on opening.

There have been a few similar posts of recent times.

Hello Big M

Can you please tell me to which of your websites you are referring? Could you post the domain name? Also, would you allow me to temporarily create a test page and try to republish your website in order to test? Thanks.

Hi Stefan. (Big G, not Big M) the problem seems to have resolved itself and seemed to be active across all websites at the time, I tested some across various accounts. Ghost in the Machine I guess.

Hi.

The problem of "session expiration" has occurred again!
Only with Google Chrome,of course.

I cancelled cookies and cache three times but the problems still persists!
This is extremely frustrating, as I cannot work.....

Have you received similar reports from Yola users?

Hi Francesco,

I was able to replicate the "your session has expired" issue.  I have submitted a ticket with our engineers to take a look at the page.  I will let you know when I hear back from them.

In the meantime, you have some 3rd party code on your page.  Is any of this code recently added?  Does removing the last snippet of code that was added to the page change anything?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Jen.

The problem has been fixed.  It was caused by the "Cookie Policy Script" which I installed in all the pages.

Please ignore my previous email.

Regards,
Francesco
