You should be allowed to buy a domain from Yola and upload you own designed website. (eg. We buy a domain name from Yola, then we upload our own custom made website (and files) to the file manager, where our website is shown on our domain (bought via you). So basically you host our website and we use a domain we bought from you).

Hi Jake,

Thank you for the post and I hope I can explain how it works from our perspective.

Yola offers a Sitebuilder where you can build and publish your own site for free. Part of that service offers you the ability to purchase your own custom domain name if you'd like as well as publish to a free subdomain or point a domain that you've bought elsewhere to Yola to publish your site.

Our primary focus is our Sitebuilder. It's not possible to upload and host sites built with other services to our Sitebuilder or hosting environment because our system is designed specifically to host Yola-built sites. If you would like to upload and host a site built elsewhere, I can only suggest that you use a hosting service. You are of course, welcome to buy a domain name from us and point it to your hosting service by accessing the domain settings: http://cs.yola.com/index.php?pg=kb.pa...

I hope that helps!
