Hi, I'm following the procedure in Yola Tutorials to change index page to blog.

Here the text says:

These are the steps to turn your existing homepage into a blog page on your website.

1. If you would like to keep the current index page, click on the down-arrow next to 'Save' and select 'Save As' to save the page with a new name.
2. Click on "New Page".
3. Name the page "index" and select the "Blog Page" option.

You will get a message telling you that your index page already exists and asking if you want to overwrite it. Say "yes". This will replace your current index page with a blog page and your site will start on your blog page.

However, any time I press the OK button, I get the Error Message:

Sorry, Something went Wrong.
We have logged the error for our records. Please try again. If the problem persists, email for further assistance.

Please help me in starting my new site with a blog page.

I'm in the process of evaluating the tool in order to upgrade to silver.

Thank you for contacting Yola. It would appear that you're trying to give your new page a same name that is already existing in your list of pages. Normally, you would be able to overwrite the page but unfortunately, a bug has cropped up where you are not able to do this. We apologize for this.

Usually, we can offer a workaround but as the index page cannot be deleted, this means converting your index page to a blog page is not going to be possible right now.

If you wish to explore the workaround for other ideas, here are the two suggestions offered:

Option 1:

Delete the already existing page and then you are able to use this page name for your "Save page as". Here's how to delete a page:

1. Go to Site Manager.
2. Look for the name of the page you want to delete.
3. Click on the "Delete" link.
4. A dialog box will open, asking you to confirm that you want to delete the particular page.
5. Click on "OK".

Then, proceed with using the "Save page as" function and give the page name desired.
(Please remember deleting your page is NOT reversible! You cannot retrieve your information once your page has been deleted.)

Option 2:

Instead of deleting a page and using that name, simply use a new name for the "Save page as" dialog box.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we work on resolving this bug.
